CORE Tanzania is committed to protecting your privacy. Any information that we collect is used solely as an aid in providing you with the highest possible quality of service and making the most effective use of the resources our donors have entrusted to us. This privacy policy pertains to any information that is collected when you use our website or communicate with us by email or offline (by mail, phone, or in person).

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you such as your name, billing address, phone number, and email address when you fill out forms or make a donation on our website, email us, or communicate with us by other means. We may also collect any other information that you voluntary provide. If you provide payment information such as credit card or bank account number when making an online donation, our payment processor collects that information directly from our website. CORE Tanzania does not store or have access to this payment information.

Google Analytics—CORE Tanzania uses a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. • Unless a donor requests to remain anonymous, their name and donation amount may be released to the general public.

All personal information that you provide, either on our website or by phone or mail is securely stored. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when we access that information.

To ensure the security of the payment information you provide when you donate online, our payment processor collects payment information directly from our website. CORE Tanzania does not store or have access to payment information. Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption technology to transmit payment data to our payment processor. This ensures that your data is safe, in compliance with PCI regulations.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include links to third party sites on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
