Supporting girls at Twegashe School

At Twegashe School we put a lot of emphasis on encouraging girls to stay in school. Making sure our female students will have access to sanitary hygiene products when they start their periods is an important component of that effort.

Agriculture at Twegashe

The agriculture program at Twegashe School is growing and improving as we discover new ways of enriching our soil and dealing with pests organically. We also have a growing livestock program. Our goal is to feed our students fresh, nutritious food from the school farm, and to provide practical, hands-on lessons in raising crops and livestock.

Lakeside School Partnership

Lakeside students spent three weeks in Bushasha Village, living with Twegashe families and leading day camp activities for our students. They accomplished their goals of gaining intercultural competence and increased global awareness, while Twegashe students got to practice English with native speakers and to have their horizons broadened beyond the confines of the village. And everyone made new friends and had lots of fun!
