Sponsor a child

Hand in hand toward a brighter future

Give a child the confidence of knowing that someone (YOU!) cares about them and believes they can succeed.

Sponsorship benefits

    • Gain a window into the life of a child in rural Tanzania through photos, videos, drawings, emails, and letters
    • Receive regular reports detailing your child’s progress
    • Experience the joy of being able to reach across the world and touch a child with your love

How It Works

1. Choose a child

Decide which Twegashe student you would like to sponsor.

2. Build a relationship

Get acquainted. You’ll receive a welcome packet with a photo and information about your child and instructions on how you can communicate with your child.

3. Shape a future

Watch your child grow. We’ll send progress reports, and you’ll experience the joy of knowing that your love and support are making a difference in the life of a child half a world away.

What Your Gift Does

A child sponsorship of just $50 a month fully funds a high-quality education at Twegashe School, with small class sizes, well-qualified teachers, textbooks for every student, and adequate teaching and learning resources. A sponsorship also provides a child with breakfast, lunch, and school supplies.*

*Sponsorship donations are not given directly to individual children or families. Instead, your donation will be pooled with other donations and funding sources. This allows us to provide the most effective support to as many children as possible. Sponsorship donations may be used for any costs associated with providing a child with a year of high-quality education at Twegashe School, including funding of an emergency operating reserve.

Choose a Child

Hello! We are second graders at Twegashe School. We are all seven or eight years old and we live in Bushasha Village. We love our teacher, Madam Brigitha. We speak Kihaya at home, but we are learning to speak English at school. We look forward to practicing our English with you!
